About Shiitake Products
Shiitake Products started as a joke and turned into a survival strategy.
Life threw health problems, burnout, and a whole lot of “you should probably give up” energy. Instead of giving up, we built a place to laugh at it, flip it off a little, and turn all that chaos into art, stories, and weird little things you can actually use.
This is not a polished “lifestyle brand.”
It’s a mushroom-flavored coping mechanism that got out of hand.
The Human Behind the Mushrooms
Hi. I’m the one behind Shiitake Products.
I’ve dealt with some stuff: health issues, nervous system nonsense, mental health battles, the whole “life gets smaller when your body doesn’t cooperate” thing. Humor was the one tool that didn’t get taken away.
Shiitake Products is what happens when you stop waiting for life to calm down and decide to create your own pocket of strange joy anyway. Every design, every joke, every surreal little world is me saying, “I’m still here. You probably are too. Let’s make something out of that.”
What We Make (And Why)
It started with t-shirts. It did not stay that way.
Now it’s shirts, mugs, desk mats, prints, candles, phone cases, and whatever else feels like it belongs in this odd little universe. Some things are loud and ridiculous. Some things are quietly honest. All of it is made to do at least one of these:
-
make you laugh in a bad week
-
make you feel a little more seen
-
remind you that weird is allowed
When possible, we choose options that are kinder to the planet. We’re not perfect and we won’t pretend to be, but we try to make choices that feel responsible, not disposable.
Where This Is Going
Shiitake Products is evolving into more than merch.
There’s music.
There’s a growing homestead.
There are mushrooms, bugs, future handmade goods, and ideas that shouldn’t work but might anyway.
Think of this brand as a network of little worlds: art, sound, homestead, and humor all feeding into each other. The store is just one doorway into that.
Join the Shiitake Side
Buying something here isn’t just a transaction. It’s you saying:
“I’m tired. I’m still here. I still want things that make life feel a little less factory-standard.”
If you’ve ever felt like the odd one out, the overthinker, the burnout, the person laughing way too hard in the back row just to stay sane… you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here.
When life hands us shiitake, we make a whole weird universe out of it.
